Golden Brook Farm is a cut flower farm and florist in mid-coast, Maine. We grow intensively on less than an acre of land on the side of Bald Mountain, several miles outside of the village of Camden. Our clients include weekly bouquet subscribers, individuals, businesses, restaurants, and B&Bs. We also provide arrangements for weddings and other special events.

We are thrilled to announce that we are adding to our team for the 2019 growing season! We are looking for hard-workers who will take pride creating a unique, natural, and high-quality product for our clients. Candidates should be good communicators, dependable, and enjoy working in a fast-paced environment.

We are hiring both flower growers and designers. Candidates could do both jobs if qualified, or these positions could be filled by different people with specific strengths.

FLOWER GROWERS (Weekday mornings, March-November)

Responsibilities include prepping beds, seeding, transplanting, weeding, deadheading, watering, fertilizing, harvesting, and prepping plant material for the floral designers. Occasional deliveries may be required, so a valid driver’s license is preferred. Ideal candidates enjoy doing physical work in all kinds of weather, are able to be on their feet for up to six hours at a time, reach in awkward positions, and lift up to 50 lbs.  The ability to work well either on a team or independently is essential.  Pay is hourly, starting at $10/hour.

FREE-LANCE FLORAL DESIGNERS: Fridays and some Saturdays from May to October.

Responsibilities include arranging weekly subscription bouquets and/or arranging and setting up for weddings or other special events. Experience working with wedding flowers is essential. Applicants must provide a portfolio of previous work.  Candidates need to be able to be on their feet for up to eight hours at a time, reach in awkward positions, and lift up to 50 lbs.  Pay is hourly, and depends on experience level and ability to work autonomously.

If interested, please forward a resume, including three references (as well as a portfolio if applying for the floral design position) to:
